Short Summary

Applications are now open for the InvestoVilla Pipeline Development Program for Entrepreneurs (IPDPE) 2026 Pilot Cohort, an 18-week investment-readiness and fundraising support programme designed for founders building ventures for African markets. Delivered by InvestoVilla, an initiative of AM-Steve House Capital, the programme equips entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools, mentorship, and strategic support needed to become investor-ready and successfully raise capital. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with the final deadline on 30 August 2026.

Opportunity Overview

Who is offering it?

The programme is offered by InvestoVilla, a founder-investor platform developed by AM-Steve House Capital, a pan-African venture capital, business development, investment, and advisory organization committed to supporting entrepreneurs and innovative businesses across Africa. InvestoVilla aims to democratize access to startup funding by helping founders build investment-ready businesses and connect with funding opportunities.

What is it?

The InvestoVilla Pipeline Development Program for Entrepreneurs (IPDPE) is an approximately 18-week online programme that prepares entrepreneurs to attract investment and navigate the fundraising process.

Rather than promising direct funding, the programme focuses on strengthening the core elements investors look for in high-growth ventures. Participants receive structured training, expert mentorship, practical assignments, fundraising guidance, and peer learning through two integrated phases:

Phase I – Venture Readiness Clinic

This phase helps founders strengthen their businesses through:

  • Business model refinement
  • Venture assessment
  • Product-market fit validation
  • Lean Canvas refinement
  • Fundraising strategy development
  • Pitch deck review
  • Executive peer learning
  • One-on-one consultations

Phase II – Fundraising Accelerator

Participants who progress to the second phase receive support in:

  • Venture finance
  • Capital structure planning
  • Investor targeting
  • Due diligence preparation
  • Negotiation readiness
  • Investor outreach planning
  • Fundraising execution
  • Submission of qualified ventures to selected investment funds

The programme is delivered virtually, allowing founders from across Africa to participate.

Why it matters

Access to capital remains one of the biggest challenges facing African startups. As investors become increasingly selective, founders must demonstrate strong business fundamentals, market validation, and fundraising readiness before securing investment.

The IPDPE helps entrepreneurs build investable businesses by providing practical tools, expert guidance, and structured support that improve their chances of successfully raising capital. While participation does not guarantee funding, qualified ventures may be introduced to actively investing funds within the InvestoVilla ecosystem.

Benefits

Selected participants will receive:

  • Structured investment-readiness training
  • Venture diagnostics and strategic feedback
  • Business model refinement
  • Product-market fit support
  • Pitch deck review and improvement
  • Fundraising strategy development
  • Due diligence preparation
  • Investor engagement strategies
  • Venture finance and capital structure guidance
  • One-on-one mentorship
  • Peer learning and accountability
  • Practical fundraising execution support
  • Opportunity for qualified ventures to be submitted to selected investment funds (subject to meeting programme requirements)

Note: Participation in the programme does not guarantee funding or investment.

Eligibility

Applicants should:

  • Be building a startup or growth venture focused on African markets.
  • Be an African founder, a member of the African diaspora building for Africa, or an international founder serving African markets.
  • Have an African-incorporated company or plans to establish one.
  • Be preparing to raise—or currently raising—between US$20,000 and US$1 million in equity or debt financing.
